Sister Bulpitt
- Learning from king Benjamin -- we are striving through mists of darkness, so much confusion and misinformation today
- 4 things:
- 1) learning -- where do we learn? We gather as families, we face the temple, and we listen to the prophet (learning about the temple and keeping temple covenants); scriptures -- teach our children how to learn
- 2) listening -- teach our children how to listen to the whisperings of the Spirit; we all need to learn how the spirit speaks to us individually
- 3) love -- teach them how to love; to love one another and serve one another; also teach them how to love themselves
- 4) look to our Savior -- teach them where to look; not to the world, not to social media, but to the Savior, to God and to the scriptures; learn about the Atonement and to repent daily
- Then be steadfast and immovable

- I need to read President Nelson's most recent conference address
- Think of myself into a fortress against the world and the adversary; president Nelson called it a sanctuary of gospel learning
- Need to teach our children the gospel -- home centered gospel learning, church supported -- need to teach the rising generation
- Think of Alma senior -- he DID teach his son the gospel; but his son made bad choices anyway
- Make our homes Christ centered -- or we take a chance that we lose them; do they know that they are children of God? Do they know they have a Savior? Are we teaching the importance of the temple? Do they see the importance of repenting daily? Do they see us keeping covenants, sacrificing time to building the kingdom of God? Do they see us sharing the gospel, participating in the gathering of Israel?

- Make sure every girl at girls camp learns the importance of the temple
- In the house of the Lord is where we make covenants that bind us to our Savior Jesus Christ; yoke ourselves to Jesus Christ, so that He can bear our burdens as He promises us
- If we want our youth, our children, our people to be armed with glory, we need to lead them to the temple
- Change our focus to the covenants of the temple

- Safety in living within our temple covenants; attend the temple, learn more about the covenants; receive protection from the storms we face
Elder Stauffer
- The plan of salvation provides the context for all that matters; the things that are thrown at the rising generation (and even us) by the world sound reasonable without the imprint of the plan of salvation on our minds, the grounding of the doctrine of the gospel plan
- Those reasonable voices don't love them at all because they pull them off the path, they don't promote what's best; point them towards the voices that love them (the Savior, the prophet, local leaders)
- 2 challenges that we have: to be a voice of love and to point them to other voices of love
- We need to have our own experiences with the Atonement, we need to teach them about the Atonement and lead them to the ultimate voice of love; and when they are ready, they will remember what we taught and they will have their own experience
- Be patient with the youth; my responsibility is to teach and be a voice of love. When their moment comes, hopefully they will remember and pick up the lessons they learned and follow the prophet (reference to stripping warriors)

President Bulpitt
- How are we preparing for the sacrament that we take each week? We have an opportunity to renew our covenants every week. How am I preparing for the sacrament each week, and what do I need up do differently?
Elder Stauffer
- 1) teach the truths of the gospel with love; 2) give tailored, personalized invitations with love; and 3) give personalized, promised blessings, with love -- will stir up the soul to act in faith
- 3 types of invitations: 1) to be obedient-- to the commandments of God,to the covenants we've made, to the counsel of prophets and apostles. Follow these invitations of obedience, we're blessed. 2) invitations to repent; and 3) invitations to serve, to bless the lives of others.
- Give up your favorite sin. Keep the commandant that's the hardest for you to keep. Serve the people around you. If we feel those personalized invitations from the Spirit that we know is directly for us individually, we're more likely to act on those invitations.
- Think about how president Nelson's invitations are personal to my life. How are they tailored personally to my life?
- Focus on tailored invitations. Focus on the promised blessings.
